LSI chairman Ilir Meta responded today to Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha’s statement, who labeled LSI as a “crutch” that keeps Rama in power.

“Ilir Meta has always been a crutch of Edi Rama, that’s why we expect nothing from him. When did Meta chose the citizens’ side so far?”, Basha asked last night.

“We are not an opportunistic party which pleases everyone in turn”, Meta responded today in a meeting with LRI, the LSI’s youth forum.

“The support for LSI has grown because everybody sees LSI is a backbone of the political stability in the country, a main pillar of social peace, dialogue and cooperation”.
